|Location||The Village of Pearl once known a Pearl Station, surveyed in September 1872 is located along the Illinois River in the southeast corner of the county. The village was incorporated in 1881.|

Pearl has three major transportation arteries: Route 100, The Kansas City Southern Railway and the Illinois River.
Pearl also is the home of the Twin Culverts. They were featured on our annual postcard in 1993.
